All meals meet one-third of the Recommended
Daily Dietary Allowances for persons 60 years of age or older. |
If you are homebound
due to illness or handicap and have difficulty preparing meals, Meals on
Wheels will deliver up to 14 frozen meals to your home.
Meals are
prepared with no added salt, limited fat and very few spices. They are
adaptable to a variety of special diet needs.
The dinners include a high quality protein entree, vegetable and rice,
pasta or potato. The meals come with milk and bread. |
|
Hot,
nutritious meals are offered at noon time in a group setting at 15
locations in Whatcom and San Juan counties. The
meals are available to persons who are at least sixty years old. There is a suggested donation of $2.50 per meal for eligible seniors.
All donations are confidential and no one is denied a meal if unable to
contribute. Quest Cards may be used as a donation. |
